Kotuku Marae Noho
An absolute success! We had a fabulous marae noho and were supported by many of the staff, parents and community. Our boys went through the rituals of welcome and did an awesome powhiri. We said goodbye to whaea Koka Kylie who now has a job at the New Zealand Herald. Later in the evening, we said a BIG thank you to all the volunteers who have come this term to support TWA students. Nga mihi nui!

It was such a good night. Well done boys you were awesome!
ReplyDeleteWow! That was indeed a great night. To be able to acknowledge all those that supported the previous noho was very important.
ReplyDeleteAtunisca and Rawiri you set the standard right from the beginning with a confident call to the Manuhiri.
Matariki and Rehia the clarity of your korero impressed all present. The tautoko waiata from the rest of you boys was Tu Meke .
To hear Matua Fou speak in Samoan and Matua Des Barione tautoko waiata just kept the momentum going .
The waiata as the manuhiri were eating just 'blew' everyone away.
Two weeks later and I feel just as proud and excited as I did on the night.
well done to you all
